Heed this — via the LA Times:

[June 8th, 2006 | Vienna, Austria] — Iran began to enrich a second batch of uranium in its research plant this week on the same day that world powers delivered a negotiating offer to Tehran conditioned on its suspension of nuclear activities, according to a report released Thursday by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Whoever says there is no justice in this Universe definitely does not watch the evening news.

They Nailed the Bastard! June 8, 2006

Via MSNBC:

BAGHDAD, Iraq – Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al-Qaida leader in Iraq who waged a bloody campaign of suicide bombings and beheadings, was killed overnight by F-16 jets dropping two 500-pound bombs, U.S. and Iraqi officials said Thursday. It was a long-sought victory in the war in Iraq.

Al-Zarqawi and seven aides, including spiritual adviser Sheik Abdul Rahman, were killed inside a building in a remote area 30 miles northeast of Baghdad, officials said.

Finally! A thousands pounds of mayhem is definitely not a bad way to send these neanderthal SOBs back to HELL! Unfortunately, this isn’t the way this war is going to be won, as Zarqawi (and bin Laden himself, for that matter) can simply replaced by someone just as sick as him — if not worse. The way to end this war — as quickly and with as little cost as possible, be it in monetary terms, or in that which is most important: our freedom and rights — is to put an end to the material means by which these anti-life thugs put their bloody, unearthly ideals into practice, i.e.: by putting an end to the existence of state-sponsors of terrorism and imperialistic Islam.

Microsoft has recently released the second beta version of Windows Vista for download “for IT professionals, developers, and technology enthusiasts”. If you are one of those, and are comfortable running beta software, you may want to take a look. Also make sure you have a computer that fits the specs of this behemoth.

UPDATE: Microsoft seems to be unable to serve the download due to high demand. You may get it here through Bittorrent.

The Sinners Shall Perish June 3, 2006

Pat Robertson is an instrument of God — in more ways than you’d probably imagine. Apparently God doesn’t use the good old preacher only for publicity … I mean gospel-spreading. No, He enlists the man’s property as well, whenever there is need for “swift justice” … specifically his planes!

Via the Houston Chronicle:

Two pilots were killed and three passengers suffered minor injuries when a small jet owned by religious broadcast Pat Robertson crashed in Long Island Sound while flying in heavy fog. Robertson was not aboard.

The twin-engine Learjet 35 went down a half-mile short of the runway at Groton-New London Airport on Friday, and officials with the National Transportation Safety Board were expected to arrive at the airport Saturday to begin investigating why.

A Federal Aviation Administration spokesman said the jet hit at least one approach light mounted in a cove near the airport and landed upside down in about 4 to 8 feet of water.

The passengers were able to get out of the plane on their own and were taken to a hospital, state police spokesman Sgt. J. Paul Vance said.

Their names were not released, but authorities said the three were men in their 50s.

They were headed to Connecticut to attend a charity golf tournament at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, said Phil Laferrera, a tournament organizer.

Whenever the good Reverend comes to his senses, I’m sure he’ll corroborate my theory that God rightfully struck these sinners because they were mindlessly heading to the Devil’s Lair, Foxwoods Resort Casino … just as he routinely strikes Devil worshiping minions (e.g: Indian Ocean tsunami, Katrina and past hurricane season, and more recently, that massive earthquake in Indonesia).

So You Want to Work in These United States? June 2, 2006

Apparently there is just a tiny little price to pay … well, sort of.

Live Science reports:

Scott Silverman, Chairman of the Board of VeriChip Corporation, has proposed implanting the company’s RFID tracking tags in immigrant and guest workers. He made the statement on national television on May 16.

Silverman was being interviewed on “Fox & Friends.” Responding to the Bush administration’s call to know “who is in our country and why they are here,” he proposed using VeriChip RFID implants to register workers at the border, and then verify their identities in the workplace. He added, “We have talked to many people in Washington about using it….”

The VeriChip is a very small Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag about the size of a large grain of rice. It can be injected directly into the body; a special coating on the casing helps the VeriChip bond with living tissue and stay in place. A special RFID reader broadcasts a signal, and the antenna in the VeriChip draws power from the signal and sends its data. The VeriChip is a passive RFID tag; since it does not require a battery, it has a virtually unlimited life span. [Links remoded -- Editor.]

Well, I did say it was tiny and little … but let’s hear some more first:

RFID tags have long been used to identify animals in a variety of settings; livestock, laboratory animals and pets have been “chipped” for decades.

… on second thought, no comment.
